I didn't know Jack personally, but a long story short....he was instrumental in connecting me (through my friend Cecilia) with a wonderful family, the Martinez's, in Leon, Spain when I was looking to connect with a family there. I look forward to meeting Jack in Heaven....what a wonderful life he lived!

My late husband, Phil Loux, was mentored by Jack as a young man. We supported Jack in his ministry for many years. His life made an impact on Phil who went home to Jesus July 1, 2007.

Jack and I both attended Pulpit Rock Church, but never met until he started coming to our small Bible Study in 2017 or 2018. At a pot luck he gave me one of his books, Becoming God's Change Agents, which I read and loved. I wanted to start a prayer group and invited Jack and a couple other men. Eventually it was just Jack and me, praying together in person or by phone. I loved his stories, his humor, and his great devotion to God, and the simple way he weaved Christ into all his conversations, with people he knew or total strangers. He let me do some editing on his latest book, for which I was very grateful. Another great saint of God, Jerry Bridges, was a friend of mine from many years at Grace Presbyterian. then I found out that Jerry and Jack were roommates in the Navy many moons ago! I'm glad Heaven is forever, because it might take 10,000 years for all of us to see what a small world God has given us, and all the made or nearly made connections. Anyhow, I am so humbly grateful that Jack was a friend. I'm grateful to the Navs for allowing his funeral at Glen Eyrie. And I look forward to being in Heaven together, worshipping at the throne of God. John Bender, Monument Colorado.
