Obituary of Jimmy LeRoy Lusk
Jimmy "Jim" LeRoy Lusk of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022 at the age of 79.
Jim was born March 10, 1943 to James and Margie Lusk of Greenville, Texas. He married his best friend and love of his life, Nancy Pearl Binion, in 1962. They were married for fifty-nine years.
He was an engineer at Texas Instruments for many years before transferring to Colorado Springs, Colorado to work for the INMOS Corporation where he retired. He loved Colorado and always said "Colorado is God's Country."
Jim was a loving father, "daddy," and "Poppie" to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Jim had a passion for vintage cars, especially 1957 Chevy's. He loved going to old car shows and showing off his 1957 Chevy Belair beauty. He also enjoyed being in the yard, and even won an award for prettiest yard of the year in the Colorado Springs Gazette.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margie Lusk; and his brother, Dwayne Lusk.
Jim is survived by his brother, Jerry (Sadie) Lusk; his sisters, Jane (Larry) Alston, and Judy Balsley; his sister-in-law, Janice Lusk; and many nieces and nephews. Jim is also survived by his children, Denise Parker of Farmersville, Texas, Dana (Daryl) Miller of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Diron (Jodi) Lusk of McKinney, Texas; his seven grandchildren; and his three great-granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim's name to the Dementia Society of America or the Alzheimer's Association.
The family will host a private Celebration of Life for Jim.
