To Erin & Eric, Such tragic news. I am stricken for your family. My heart goes out to all of your family. I knew mostly of Brian through Aunt Carole, who spoke so lovingly of Brian's extraordinary talents with language. Many years ago when Eric lived in Rochester, still as a young man, he rented an apartment from me and did services around the properties. He was always a lovely and polite young person. I've literally known Brian since he was born. He was such a cutie, so sweet, so caring, so loving. It's clear from my conversations with Erin over the years and reading all of the comments that Brian touched many peoples lives in his short years on this earth by being the same cutie, so sweet, so caring, so loving. Did I mention he was so funny and I think he probably made people laugh every single day! What a joy it was to know young Brian Krause. One of my sons greatest friends in elementary school who was as brilliant as they come. There is no doubt he will/is sorely missed by many! One of my favorite memories is the Teddy Bear Christmas, when Brian was very young. He ran around our house, collecting and counting all the bears, and then we all danced in the front hall to "Waltzing with Bears".

Q: How did you meet Brian? A: I had the privilege to meet Brian at my cousin's birthday celebration in Los Angeles. We naturally gravitated towards one another and our love for genuine human connection and meaningful conversation propelled us forward into a memory that I will never forget. Brian and I sat on a bench and talked for hours on end. We communicated in French the entirety of our time there. He even taught me a few Mandarin words. We talked about traveling, we talked about our goals and aspirations, and our appreciation for our loved ones. We talked about music, literature and food. We talked about life's trials and tribulations and how to overcome them. We talked about how brilliant he was and how excited he was in moving his career along in the technology industry. We covered a lot of ground that day and I don't think that either of us really had the time to socialize with anyone else …. We were fully committed to the amazing connection at hand. His beautiful mind was mine to explore and appreciate and for that I felt lucky. We started off as acquaintances on that day but we left as two souls who had truly seen one another. I promise to honor his memory and I will never forget the imprint he left on me.
