Obituary of Daniel "Dan" George Hagel

Daniel "Dan" George Hagel, 75, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away December 7, 2022 in his Black Forest home. He was born on May 29, 1947 in Billings, Montana to Anton "Tony" and Margaret (Feisthamel) Hagel. Dan went to high school at Marquette High School and graduated in 1965. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force, where he proudly served the United States in Turkey. He then worked as a security officer for Medical City Hospital for twenty-five years. Dan enjoyed playing golf, barbecuing, and was an avid fan of watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Those that knew Dan knew the treasure he was. He was an open, generous, and warm husband, father, grandfather, friend, and mentor. A loving soul who was always there for family and friends. He spent many happy hours with Boy Scouts and Eagle Scout candidates. He will be in the hearts of those of us who love him forever! Dan is survived by his wife, Sandy Hagel of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son, Joseph Hagel; daughter, Kelly Harald; grandson, Kyler Hagel; granddaughters, Sarah Hagel, Lindsay Hagel, Elly Harald, and Aidyn Harald; and sister, Victoria Stein.
