Obituary of MSgt. Alfred Henry Dennis, USAF,

Alfred Henry Dennis, 91, died March 17, 2019 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born November 28, 1927 in Oakland, California to Dominic and Marie Matilda (Hackey) Dennis. After twenty-three years of service to our country, he went on to teach high school Jr. ROTC and middle school Social Studies, and became a business owner with a Drive-Away franchise. Alfred was a member of Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church in Black Forest, Colorado and the U.S. Air Force: Joint Service Honors Command, and had a lifetime membership of the Boy Scouts of America. He was also a community service volunteer for AARP and the Fresno International Airport.Alfred was married sixty-eight years to his loving and patient wife, Marie. He is best known for his love of family, proud Italian heritage, appreciation of nature and the outdoors, his artistic talent and quick wit.He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lorraine Corona.Alfred is survived by his wife, Marie Dennis; children, Mark Dennis, Janice (David) Frearson, Marian Scott, Dominic (Cathy) Dennis, Anthony (Nicole) Dennis and Angela (Scott) Diamanti; son-in-law, Robert Corona; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made in the form of a mass said in Alfred's honor in your home parish, or please donate to Charity of Social Justice at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church. Contributions may also be made to American Veterans (AMVETS).
