Obituary of Jeremy Patrick Kyer

Jeremy Patrick Kyer, 39, passed away in his sleep June 3, 2019.He was born in Colorado Springs on February 26, 1980. His dedication to his family and friends was extraordinary; it was what made him tick. No matter the situation he found a way to be there for all of us.Jeremy had a way of listening, empathizing and making all feel valued and loved. He could connect with anyone and find a way to relate to them. When he spoke it was worth listening. His curiosity and intellect brought new facts and perspectives into a conversation - whether it was about the latest book he had read or a broadcast he'd heard.Jeremy and his mom, Kathy, spent many hours together at the kitchen table talking about the latest technology, historical facts, politics, humorous topics and life in general. They were dear to one another. His connection with his dad, Fred, was special. Together they were always ready and eager to begin one of the many projects which Jeremy had already researched in minute detail (old school vs. new school).Jeremy had a great bond with his brother, Kevin. A quick look into each others eyes and they knew exactly the others thinking. The brothers shared many interests including cars, Broncos, politics, music and bringing their friends and family to tears of laughter. They were there for each other through thick and thin.He was gifted as a lifelong learner. After earning his bachelor's degree at the University of Northern Colorado his passion for cars drove him (no pun intended Jeremy); to attend the Universal Technical Institute in California, where he received his certification as a Master Auto Technician. Jeremy was a rabid Formula One fan and created a Formula One Fantasy League that included friends and family. As a family, we loved watching the Denver Broncos together with ongoing bantering during the game in a chat group from different couches. He also loved researching Colorado Springs history. He had a great sense of humor and his smile went from ear to ear; and don't get us started about his chuckle...contagious. Jeremy will be missed by all the souls he touched in is life. His heart could hear and see things other hearts could not. Although Jeremy was with us only 39 years, his compassion, sense of humor and loving heart will leave a lasting imprint on our lives forever. Our gentle giant may be gone but never forgotten. Jeremy is survived by his parents, Fred and Kathy Kyer; brother, Kevin Michael (Carey) Kyer; two nephews, Caden and Knox Kyer, whom he adored ("Unc Jeremy" to them); and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He had a unique bond with his beloved, Aunt Libby and Uncle Dave.Celebration of Life, 2:10PM-5:00PM, Sunday, July 7, 2019, Phantom Canyon Restaurant, 2 East Pikes Peak Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.Contribution in Jeremy's memory may be made to the Dumb Friends League of Denver, at ddfl.org Events Celebration of Life Sunday, July 7, 2019 2:10PM - 5:00PM Phantom Canyon Restaurant 2 East Pikes Peak Avenue Colorado Springs, CO 80903
