Obituary of Barbara Jean Whelchel

Barbara Jean Whelchel, 78, died July 2, 2019 at her home in Peyton, Colorado with her loving family by her side.�She was born June 30, 1941 to Wilbur and Ila (Watkins) Williams in Casper, Wyoming. She graduated from West High School in Denver, Colorado and briefly studied Theology at a local college in Denver.�Barbara married William L. Whelchel, Jr. on August 30, 1959 in Denver. From this union made in Heaven, the couple was blessed with five children, all who are very much loved: Ila, William III, David, Kelly and Michael. Barbara was a loving and devoted wife and mother.�She is dearly remembered and missed by her husband of nearly sixty years, William L. Whelchel, Jr.; her five children, Ila L. (Jeff) Rusch, William L. (LaVonne) Whelchel, III, David A. (Laura) Whelchel, Kelly K. Herring and Michael E.
